Thermo Built-In Braais
We are a Cape Town-based designer and manufacturer of braais and fireplaces, and all things related. With over 25 years experience, we manufacture an extensive range of braais and fireplaces of the highest quality, using only the best available material. As proof of our pride and belief in our products, we are the only company to give a 20years warranty on workmanship. We sell direct to the public, as well as to wholesalers.
Whilst every endeavor will be made to update photographs, descriptions, specifications and/or illustrations, our products do undergo updates from time to time and some products supplied may differ slightly from those on the website. During December 2020, we updated the look of all our braais, as well as adding two new ranges - the ECONO and the PREMIUM. Photos will be updated as they become available, but this may take months for all ranges to be completely updated. Please enquire when placing an order.
All Thermo DeLuxe and Professional braais are available in mild steel, 3CR12, 304 stainless steel, or a combination of materials: i.e., a mild steel braai with stainless steel facade in 304 or 316 brushed stainless steel. Econo and Premium braais are available in 430, 304 and 316 stainless steel. All 4 ranges are supplied with 304 stainless steel grids. Our standard range is the only range that is supplied standard with an electroplated grid, but it may be upgraded to stainless steel at a fee.
Our Professional Braai range has been designed in answer to the call for braais to fit with new modern spaces. The braai comes with a single door that slides almost fully underneath the ashpan, when you don't want it in your way, but can be pulled out to be utilized as a workspace. This braai also does away with the chains to have a modern, clean look. As with all De Luxe braais, this braai comes with a stainless steel polished grid and is available in mild steel, 3CR12, and stainless steel, as well as a combination of materials.

The Thermo De Luxe Braai range has been our most popular range for 15 years. The ultimate in braaiing experience, these braais will add to the value of your home, enhance your entertainment area, and make you the envy of your friends.
Available in 5 standard sizes: 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1500mm and now also an 1800mm. All De Luxe braais are supplied with a 304 stainless steel polished grid.
As optional-extra, all braais can be purchased with 304 or 316 stainless steel facades - see below.
All our braais are also available as a Deep De Luxe braai with a lintel wide enough to install through a structural / cavity wall.
Our newly updated braai now has rear-mounted grid hooks with 6 x heights. From 1200mm and larger, our braais are now supplied with 2 individually adjustable grids. Similar to our stainless steel braais, our mildsteel DeLuxe braais are now also sporting turn-knobs to 'lock' the doors. No more rattling of doors in the wind.

Our newest ranges - the ECONO & PREMIUM braai ranges - has been designed to cater for those who want a beautiful functional braai, but cannot necessarily afford the high ticket price of our DeLuxe and Professional braais. The parts of these braais are NOT WELDED but fitted together with a tab-and-slot design. This saves many hours in the manufacturing process, i.e. welding, cleaning, pickling and polishing. Available in 430, 304 and 316 brushed stainless steel, the ECONO range is similar to our deLuxe range with its double doors, and the PREMIUM range has the single slide-in door similar to our Professional range. The Premium range can also be ordered custom in a combination of materials. i.e., 304 s/s body and insides with a 316 stainless steel facade and door.

Any braai, larger than 1150mm, is supplied with 2 x grids. Put both on the same level, and have a nice large grid, or put them on different levels and you can braai steaks on the lower level while doing your braai broodjies on a higher level. Our Premium braai comes with a single door that slides almost fully underneath the ashpan, when you don't want it in your way, but can be pulled out to be utilized as a workspace. For the modern clean look, we have added a stylish handle.

The Thermo Standard Braai range is an affordable range of braais that still carries a 10 years warrantee. Our standard braai range comes complete with a 2.4 m flue and rotating cowl. Also available in a 700mm Charcoal unit, available with or without flues and doors.
Standard braais are all supplied with electro-plated grids and can also be ordered special with stainless steel facades.

Our De Luxe Spit Braais are standard available in a 1200 & 1500 mm braai. Also available 1800 mm wide on special order. As with other de Luxe braais, these braais are available in mildsteel, 3CR12, 304 stainless steel or a combination of materials: i.e. a mildsteel braai with stainless steel facade. Stainless steel facades are available in 304 & 316 stainless steel with brushed finish. All Spit braais are supplied with a stainless steel grid and a stainless steel spit-arm - because we are working with food here. Our motor is speed-variable and can run off electricity or a car-battery for those days that the power is out. Should you order your spitbraai complete in stainless steel, we even clad your motor in matching brushed stainless steel.

DeLuxe 1200mm Spitbraai - complete mildsteel
Our Thermo de Luxe Double-sided braais are manufactured with 3mm thick lockable doors on 25mm bullet hinges on both sides. This is for security purposes, as double-sided braais are meant to be installed on an outside wall.
As with our other braais, these braais are available in mild steel, 3CR12, 304 stainless steel, or a combination of materials: i.e., a mild steel braai with stainless steel facade. Stainless steel facades are available in 304 & 316 stainless with a brushed finish. All double-sided braais are supplied with a stainless steel grid.
